The sterilizer is equipped with apierced lid for the thermometer (sold separately) to check the temperature. The sterilizer also includes a bottom grid to support the jars. To prevent jars from colliding, especially when there is a lot of space between them, cloths can be placed to protect them from the swirling water.

To avoid breaking jars, especially when there is a lot of space between them, place rags in the gaps between the jars or wrap a cloth around each jar.
