Recipe for easy homemade bread

  • 500g of wheat flour
  • 350ml of water
  • 10g of salt
  • 21g of fresh baker's yeast

  1. Dilute the yeast in warm water (not hot, as this will kill the yeast)
  2. Mix the flour and salt with a utensil or by hand, gradually add the water and start kneading the dough.
  3. When the dough is well mixed, it is sticky. Cover with a clean cloth and let it rise for 1 hour and a half.
  4. Preheat your oven to 220°C, place your empty mold Emile Henry inside.
  5. Lightly degas the dough, shape it as desired and place it in your mold. Make lines on the top with a knife or razor blade.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, depending on the power of your oven. The crust should be golden brown.
  7. Let cool in pan for 15 minutes then remove to a wire rack.
